Question:
Tv show finales that didn't give the show a good send off, or didn't end the season well.....?

What last episode of a tv show didn't live up to the hype, or didn't do the show justice or ended the that particular season badly. i bring it up as the final episode of lost aired recently. i thought it was great but i've heard a lot of people be unhappy with it.

for me, the one show that is in my mind is quantum leap's final episode. sam didn't get home and he made it so he never met Al. it was just sad.

Also, season 1 of torchwood was weird and anti climatic as the huge demon appears and dies within 2 minutes.

season 2, 3 and 4 of heroes. i can't even remember them, but i remember the end of season 1, that was ages ago and thats saying something about the show's deterioration ( probably why it's been cancelled )

Also, what shows do you think had a great ending......

Blackadder goes forth ( the one in the trenches )
Lost
Life on Mars
Scrubs (for me, the last episode was when JD left, not season 8)
Seasons 4, 5 and 6 of House had great season finales.
Season finale of flashforward was great also ( unfortunately its cancelled :( )
Dexter
Season 1 of heroes

And I think the Lost season finale was AMAZING omg I love Lost so much =)

And Life on Mars was good too.

"Legend of the Seeker" (not a great show, by any means) had a great ending to its first season, that wrapped up all of the plot points in a very satisfying finale

(Unfortunately, they then undid all of that in the second season.)

On the other hand, I didn't care for the recent finale of "24". I figured they had two ways to go with it: either kill Jack Bauer to end the series (the logical thing to do, given the circumstances he found himself in in that final season), or at least let him walk away from it all for good. Instead, they left him on the hook, with both sides still chasing him. It looked like they were just setting themselves up for a movie sequel. Not cool.

Dallas Finale was rather ridiculous and insulting way to end a fantastic show. Everyone was expecting Miss Ellie to confess that Digger was JR's Father and not Jock, also Pam and Bobby reuniting. Instead we got the 'It's a wonderful Life' scenario and a devil who tries to encourage JR to kill himself. It was more like an ending to a Twilght Zone Ending than a soap opera. It spoilt it in the end, just like the dream season in 1985-86 season.

Was not impressed with Dawson's Creek and Buffy's final endings! Really thought they could have done better! Also Angels!

Loved ER's Finale and up until the end of the series when they brought in some old characters, really enjoyed that!

Can't wat to see Grey's anatomy. I've been told there is only one season left :(

As for scrubs, I liked the finale before they started with the spin off. I thought it was a nice ending.

I think Ashes to Ashes had a bad finale, I wanted Gene and Alex to get together so much, but when she left him and didn't look back I felt like crying. Also it would have been nice if Sam Tyler came back...

My favourite finale was Doctor Who, David Tennant's last one, I thought the acting was brilliant and it was a really good script! :)

I think Roseanne and ER had bad endings.
