The Year Without a Santa Claus - who would you cast?

I just heard that they''re showing a live-action version of The Year Without a Santa tonight on TV. In my humble opinion, why mess with a good thing? But if they really had to remake it, this is who I'd cast. Who would you cast?

Santa - Andy Rooney (is he still alive?)
Mrs. Claus - Betty White (c'mon... she was born for this role)
Jingle - Sean Astin (or is he not really that short in real life?)
Jangle - Dwight from The Office (his facial expressions alone would make it totally worth it)
Heat Miser - Lewis Black (he's got so much barely concealed rage, he'd be perfect...but if he's not available maybe Naomi Campbell would do it--haha)
Snow Miser - David Letterman (he's practically got the laugh down already) or Will Farrell (nuff said)
Mother Nature - Alfre Woodard (no particular reason, I just love her)
Ignatius Thistlewhite (yes, I actually remember his name, and yes, I watch way too much TV) - the kid from Love Actually (don't remember his name, but he's too cute)

I don't see the need to remake it, live action version or not. As much as I like Jim Carey, I saw no need for the live action Grinch movie, which pretty much stinks.



By the way, you DID mean MICKEY ROONEY for Santa, right? Andy Rooney is the whiny guy on 60 Minutes. Oh, and Sean Astin IS that short and he would be perfect for that role. Great call.

Oh my gosh! I love the year without a santa clause!!!!! I really do not know who I would cast but you are so on target with Betty White as Mrs. Clause.

I think I would cast George Wendt as Santa( because he was a good santa on that abc family movie ), and the guy that played Dawber on Coach as Jangle.
