Looking for new TV shows.?

Question

Hello, I need advice on some new TV shows to watch. Preferably US shows.
I like science fiction and action series with larger story arcs. Military series are fine, too.

My favourites are Battlestar Galactica, Dark Angel, Jericho, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Star Trek Enterprise, X-Files, Space: Above and Beyond, Fringe,
The Shield, Dune, Heroes, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Band of Brothers, Over There, The Pacific, Lost, 24, Prison Break, Supernatural and Alias.

I already have Stargate, Primeval, Sopranos, Ultraviolet, 4400,
Sanctuary, Sons of Anarchy, Dark Skies, Witchblade. Some of those I either didn`t like much or haven`t watched yet, but my stock is running out.

Also got a few other series but they were too bad or forgettable
for me to remember at this point.

For upcoming shows I have Falling Skies, BSG: Blood and Chrome and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena on my radar.

So if you know of another show that might be of interest to me,

Alphas, new show that premiered this week about five people with superhuman abilities



La Femme Nikita, similar to Alias. If you’ve seen the CW version of Nikita and didn’t like it, don’t let that deter you. The original series has a different storyline and a totally different feel to it.



Dollhouse and Firefly (think space cowboys), both by writer and director Joss Whedon



Caprica, the prequel series to Battlestar Galactica



Haven, a supernatural drama series based on a Stephen King novel



As for Human Target that someone mentioned above, there is no new season. That show was cancelled after only one season. You might like it though, it’s like an action movie but on the small screen.

"The Walking Dead" on AMC has been quite outstanding. If you dont mind Zombie stuff.



"Human Target" on FOX, new season is coming soon, the show is based off the comic book. Very action packed.



"Generation Kill" similar to "Over There" though i never really got to see much of it. I saw one episode i thoguht it was good enough for me.



"Terra Nova" a new show coming soon which i also want to see and you might like.



"Through The Wormhole" its a very interesting show, goes on the Science channel, they talk about crazy stuff sometimes, not sure if thats what your looking for though.

Yeah Breaking Bad is good. Maybe also try The Wire or Dexter?

Alcatraz sounds promising... if you liked The Shield, try Breaking Bad also
